The internet is buzzing with the latest news from Michael Bay.
Last night, Michael Bay announced Megan Fox would be joining the cast of his upcoming “Ninja Turtles” live-action film reboot with the following post:
“TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!” – Michael Bay
Variety is also reporting that Fox has been cast as April O’Neil:
“After pushing production to do more work on the script, Paramount’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” reboot looks back on track as the studio has tapped Megan Fox to star as April O’Neil.” – Variety
As mentioned at IGN.com, Fox and Bay had a public falling out after the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
As much as this new development scares/shocks/appalls us, we will continue to stay optimistic about Bay’s “Ninja Turtles” and give praise and thanks to the recent success of Nickelodeon’s fantastic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show and the mind-blowing IDW comic.

UPDATE: When asked for his thoughts on the casting, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Peter Laird replied with the following seemingly unhappy response:
“My only exposure to Megan Fox as an actress is through her role in two “Transformers” movies and the wretched (but happily forgettable) “Jennifer’s Body”. It may not be fair to judge her range of acting skills just from those three movies, but I think it is safe to say that there are probably hundreds of better choices for the role of April O’Neil. Of course, her name has promotional value, and maybe that’s what they want. Who knows? I can’t get myself too worked up about it.” – Peter Laird, Peter Laird’s TMNT blog
